About The Albion Hotel, Albion Ale House & Bistro Albion
The Albion is a
100% craft beer focused gastro pub conveniently located next to the CBD of
Newcastle, harbourside on Hannell Street in Wickham opposite the Newcastle
Marina complex. The hotel incorporates ‘The Albion AleHouse’ & ‘Bistro
Albion’ & was built in 1922, the Albion is now a modern, stylish &
comfortable industry leading hotel that boasts one of Australia’s biggest &
best on-premise craft beer list’s and a fabulous modern Australian menu by Head
Chef James Christensen in our multi award winning Bistro Albion available 7
days a week.
We pride ourselves on good
old fashioned service, Operators Corey & Kristy Crooks have carefully put
together a team of friendly, enthusiastic & knowledgeable staff whom provide
professional & efficient service. We welcome local and new customers alike
and love engaging in conversation about good beer, Hunter wine & great food
with our customers.
Sports lovers are
also well looked after @ The Albion. We have Foxsports 1,2 & 3 Plus Fox Footy
Channel running all day every day, We also offer full TAB facilities.
Our Menu is designed to
accommodate all, for example you can enjoy a dozen mixed Port Stephens rock oysters
with a flute of Hunter Peterson House bubbles in the Courtyard, Our
famous Albion Style ‘Bangers & Mash’ with a Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale in
the front bar or a formal full three course meal in Bistro Albion. Customers
are able to choose what is most suitable for them so as to ensure a positive
experience.
At Albion
AleHouse we are 100% craft beer & we feature over 220 packaged Australian
& International craft beers on our list, PLUS we have 10 taps & 2
handpumps that are ever changing. By the end of 2012 we will have had over 400 different
beers graced our taps this year alone! Craft beer is what we do! Our staff are
well equipped to help you make decisions on what to sample next as well as beer
& food pairing.
Upstairs we offer refurbished up-market pub style accommodation we have 7 rooms with shared facilities & one fully self contained apartment, ALL of our stays have self serve continental breakfast include in the rate, click on our accommodation tab for more details about our facilities.
